Well...turns out my photographer won't be posting the wedding pictures on her website...however, she did give me CD's of all the pictures. So I'll try to get some posted on here in the next couple of days.

Adjusting to Marriage

I know we've only been married 2 weeks, and a great 2 weeks it has been, but I think we are adjusting quite nicely. I am almost done getting my named changed over which has been a fun and exhausting challenge. People in the government are not easy to work with. We made our first trip to Wal-Mart as a married couple to buy groceries. And all I can say is thank goodness we had gift cards! I think we have enough food to feed an army. I now get to learn how to be an excellent cook for my husband. It's one of the things that makes him really happy. The other night, I made chicken fried steak, mash taters and green beans and he sat in the dining room and watched me the whole time. He was just so happy I was making his favorite meal. And it makes me happy to make him happy, so I want to learn to become a better cook, like the women in my family and his mom. Tonight, however, I'm taking a night off from cooking and we are going to enjoy a wonderful meal at his mom's house and catch up on their Hawaii trip. Tomorrow, I think I will make smothered pork chops...my grandmother's recipe.

When our house get's to looking better...I'll post some pictures on here.

Well, that's about it for now. That's all I can think of at this moment.

Marriage is great! I would recommend it to anyone!

Wedding and honeymoon Update

To update you on the slideshow -- it turned out great...after they got the sound to work! - if it's not one thing it's another.

The wedding was absolutely wonderful! I am so glad that my family was there to celebrate with me and Joseph. I have a few pictures posted here that my friends took. When the photographer posts them on her website - I will put the link here so you can view them.

Kauai'i, Hawaii -

Kauai'i was amazing. The scenery was absolutley without a doubt the most goregous land I have ever seen. The water was so blue and the mountains were so lush and green.

Joseph and I did get sick while we were there, but we didn't have to cancel things that we had already paid for, so that was good. The snorkel tour really didn't have much snorkeling. The little we did was ok. The best part of that tour was the cliffs and mountain sides and ocean and dolphins. Oh, it was breath taking! The horseback riding was very fun! It was the most fun we had all week. We rode horses across 2,500 acres and parked them outside of the rainforest. Then we hiked down to a waterfall where we swam and ate lunch. After that we hiked back up to the horses and rode back to our starting place. We got to ride back through a field of cattle which was amazing! They were so close to us. And they were all beautiful, black and shiny. On Thursday we went to a Luau at the Grand Hyatt. That hotel was definatley GRAND! The food was amazing, the pig was great and the entertainment was fun! That's all of the major stuff that we did. Mostly we just hung out and laid at the pool or the beach.

Here are some pictures - they aren't great, because we didn't have a digital camera that worked, so we had to buy disposables - ah well.
