Home Sweet Home

We have officially been approved for the cute little town house in Cedar Hill! All we have to do is sign the lease and then Joseph moves in on June 28! I can't wait, it's so exciting to know where you will spend the first months or years of your marriage! I can't wait, this is such an exciting time in our lives. I have attached a picture of the front of the house and our two parking spaces. More pictures will come when we actually move in!

By the way, we got a good majority of Joseph's stuff moved out of his apartment last night. We have a bit more to do tonight and then clean it really good. I don't think it's been cleaned in 2 years! HA

wedding frenzy

Ahhhhh, it's 5 weeks until Joseph and I get married and I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I didn't think we would have that much to do right now, but we do have a lot to do.

Also, I really don't want to be at work during this time. I can see a vacation in the future and the only place I want to be is on the beach in Kau'i with Joseph.

Pray for me during this time so I don't loose my mind.

If you don't know God, don't make stupid remarks!

"If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!!

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 min." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God. I'm still waiting.'

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently . The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What the heck is the matter with you? Why did you do that?' The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot.

So, He sent me."

I couldn't resist - I thought this story was great!

All things Red

Red accents are always a plus!
I love the look of a red front door.
I love the look of red furniture - I don't know if I'd ever be bold enough to use it, but maybe.

A place to live

Joseph and I are going to settle all of the legalities of renting from an individual tonight! I am so excited (maybe even more than I am about the wedding) to know where Joseph and I are going to live together. I can't help but picture the cute little townhouse and imagine how I will decorate it and where I will put certain furniture. I'm such a girl! But I can't wait to live there with Joseph and be husband and wife. I'm already picking out paint colors! That's how bad it is.

I am blessed

I am blessed because:

1. My God loves me even when I fail Him.
2. My family loves me unconditionally, even when we fight and argue.
3. My Joseph loves me because of who I am and not who he "wants" me to be.
4. I have a wonderful job with great co-workers.
5. I have an EXTRAORDINARY fiance, mom, dad, and brother whom I love with all of my heart and who I would give my life for.
6. My parents are allowing me to live with them to save money before I get married.
7. I eat three meals a day.
8. I have great friends who are always support me.
9. I have been given the gift to sing praises to God.
10. I live in a country that allows me to be me and does not persecute me. I am blessed in thousands of other ways these are just 10 things on my mind today!

"O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you." Psalm 84:12

Shower -
Yesterday, May 4, I had a great shower at my church. Wonderful people showed up to support me and Joseph and blessed us with wonderful things to fill our home! I am lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. I am grateful that some of my family was there to celebrate with me.

A place to live -
Joseph and I went apartment shopping on Saturday and found a great townhouse to rent by owner. If it all works out that's where we will live. It is a very cute 2 bed room, 1 and 1/2 bath townhouse! I am praying for God's guidance and will to be revealed in the next couple of weeks while Joseph and I are trying to make this decision.

That's all for today - sorry, I'll try to get better at this!
